THERE IS LITTLE THAT CAN
WITHSTAND A WOMAN WHO CAN CONQUER HERSELF
22 BRUTAL KM'S. 1450M ELEVATION. SHE WHO RUNS FASTEST RULES.
Franschhoek in the Western Cape is famous among overseas tourists for world-class wine and mouth-watering cuisine in a setting so lush you would think it is made for royalty. There is also a very well-kept secret amongst the nobles of the land, and that is the Mont Rochelle Reserve. Set above the town the Reserve features mountain peaks so tough they will be sure to make you wish you were running on the Sea Point Promenade instead. Those strong enough to summit, have views that will eclipse all of your suffering. Flowing single track that seems to go on forever will suck you in and leave you counting the days till you can come back to the Monte Rochelle.
The route tackles two of the most prominent peaks, namely Perdekop and Du Toits Peak. The 22km route will give you about 1400m of vertical ascent and about the same in descent. Starting and finishing at the award-winning estate, Haute Cabriere, spectators and supporters will be treated to a royal welcome and are sure to enjoy the day as well with world-class wine tastings and restaurant on site.
The Roi (King) du Mont Rochelle is here to find out who will be crowned the KING of the land.
Are you royal enough?
